Is there anything more magical to a child than a cloud of shimmering bubbles floating up towards the sky? I don’t think so!

Any day is a good day to play with bubbles. Inclement weather? Bring them inside! Sunny and warm? Chase them outside! Polar Vortex? Freeze them!
Over the years, my children and I have created and tested several homemade bubble solutions. My favorite recipe produces strong, lofty bubbles that float high above the roof of our home! This homemade bubble solution is safe to use in bubble machines, and is the best to use with Monster Bubble Wands to create amazing bubbles over 4 ft. long!
Everyday Play Bubble Solution
Making homemade bubble solution is easy and fun! Combine 4 cups distilled water, 1 cup regular (not ultra) Dawn or Joy dishsoap (check local dollar stores for these brands), and 1/4 cup glycerin in a large tub. Stir well, then allow the bubble solution to rest for 24+ hours before using.
Show your child how to gently dip their bubble wand into the solution without creating excess foam, then smoothly blow or pull their wand through the air to create bubbles.
Bubbles simply bring a smile to everyone’s faces. They can liven up any children’s party or event, and bust boredom like no toy! Kids enjoy experimenting with different recipes, and you can turn it into a science learning experience by inviting them to record their recipes and results.

Glycerin- does the recipe call for 1/2 c glycerin (cover of pinterest pin) or 1/4c as listed in this post?
