This easy paper craft is perfect for home or school. Follow the instructions below to learn how to make it.
STEP 1: Download and print the Haunted House Craft Template. Our Haunted House Craft Template is available in our Teachers Pay Teachers shop! After purchasing the template, download it to your device and then print it on white cardstock.
STEP 2: Paint the craft templates. Use markers, crayons, paint, or colored pencils to color the patterns! We used our favorite Crayola Washable Paint. Use whatever colors inspire you!

STEP 3: Cut the templates. Use scissors to cut apart the pieces of the haunted house. Tiny hands may need help with the detailed edging around the roof.
STEP 4: Place the door on the haunted house. We began by gluing the roof and door to the front of the haunted house, then glued the chimney to the back of the house. When you are finished, it should look something like the picture below.
STEP 5: Place the windows on the haunted house. Glue the large window to the top of the haunted house and the smaller window on the door.
STEP 6: Glue down the boards. Glue the boards over the windows and doors. Tilt them in different directions so the house looks abandoned and ghostly.
STEP 7: Make the ghost and pumpkin puppets. Tape a popsicle stick to the back of the ghost and pumpkin. We used regular transparent tape, but Halloween-themed washi tape would look adorable!
STEP 8: Cut an opening at the top of the house. Use a craft knife to cut an opening at the top of the haunted house. Slide the ghost or pumpkin puppet into the opening.
STEP 9: Your haunted house craft is complete! Kids will enjoy moving their puppets around the top of the house.
