Halloween Hedgehog Craft Directions
This easy paper craft is perfect for home or school. Follow the step-by-step directions below to learn how to make it.
STEP 1: Download and print the craft template. Our spooky hedgehog craft template is available in our Teachers Pay Teachers shop! After purchasing the template, download it to your device and then print it on white cardstock. The PDF file include a blank hedgehog template, as well as files to create a festive card. We even included a selection of paper wiggly eyes so kids can design their own hedgehog.
Note: This craft is a part of our growing Hedgehog Craft Bundle. Buy today to get all our printable hedgehog crafts, and any future crafts we create and add to the bundle, for a reduced price.
STEP 2: Color the hedgehog and candy corn templates. Use washable paint, markers, crayons, or colored pencils to color the patterns.
We used our favorite Crayola Washable Kids Paint in the colors black, yellow, orange, white, and brown.
STEP 3: Cut the templates. Use scissors to cut apart the hedgehog body, card template, and candy corns.
STEP 4: Put the craft together. Secure each candy corn to the hedgehog’s body with glue as pictured below. If you wish to turn your craft into a holiday card, glue the top of the hedgehog’s body to the second template that contains the text “Happy Hog-o-ween!”
Use plastic wiggly eyes and a pom pom for the nose, or select a paper nose and eyes from our printable template.
STEP 5: Enjoy the craft. Your hedgehog craft is complete! Use tape to hang the hedgehog to the refrigerator, a door, or your classroom bulletin boards, or enjoy gifting them to friends, family, or neighbors.
