Popsicle Stick Easter Hat Craft
Crafting a popsicle stick Easter bonnet isn’t just a fun way to celebrate the season—it also helps kids develop important skills. As they put their bonnets together and decorate them, they get to practice fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and creative problem-solving.
As they arrange and glue the popsicle sticks into place, they start to get a sense of how things fit together in space. And when they pick out the colors and decorations that will make their bonnet truly unique, they’re expressing themselves in a way that’s both fun and meaningful.

Directions for the Easy Easter Bonnet Craft
Making Easter hat ornaments is a fun and creative craft for kids! Follow the simple steps below to create your own colorful decorations.
STEP 1: Paint the popsicle sticks. Paint 4 of the miniature popsicle sticks and the standard-sized popsicle stick the same color. Paint the last miniature popsicle stick a contrasting color. Soft pastels like pink, light blue, yellow, lavender, or mint green look great.
STEP 2: Create the hat shape. Arrange the popsicle sticks as pictured below. Use hot glue to secure the diagonal popsicle stick to the rest, then your hat is ready to decorate!
STEP 3: Add the accessories. Flip the hat over, then press 3 small silk flowers into the right corner. Hot glue a loop of ribbon to the back of the ornament.
STEP 4: Make more! Craft more ornaments in a variety of colors, then hang them on your Easter egg tree.
