How to Make a Button Star Ornament
This year, our star Christmas tree ornaments were inspired by Suzy Goose and the Christmas Star, a cheerful book about a goose and her friends who need a star for their Christmas tree.
Will Suzy be able to get the star?
You’ll have to read the story to find out!
When the story is finished, kids of all ages will enjoy creating shimmering Button Star Ornaments for their Christmas tree.
To Make This Star Ornament You Will Need
Directions for Star Christmas Tree Ornament
1. After gathering supplies, generously coat the wooden star with Mod Podge.
2. Working from the middle of the star, press some of the larger buttons onto the wood.
3. Continue in this fashion, filling in gaps with smaller buttons and seed beads.
4. Allow the stars to dry completely before hot gluing a loop of ribbon to the back of each ornament.
They are so pretty and look fabulous on the tree or dangling from a Christmas gift!
