Plant Card for Valentine’s Day
You may have noticed a lot of printable cut and glue crafts on the blog lately! There are three reasons for this:
1. Cut and glue crafts are budget-friendly. We heard you loud and clear. Basic craft supplies like pom poms, beads, popsicle sticks, and wiggly eyes are expensive!
2. They are easy! Just download, print, and go. If you work in a school or daycare, our black and white templates are easy to copy and prep for last-minute lesson plans.
3. Cut and glue crafts are good for kids! Participating in cut and glue crafts not only sparks creativity in kids but also plays a crucial role in refining their fine motor skills. As children use scissors to cut shapes and handle glue to piece everything together, they enhance hand-eye coordination, finger strength, and overall dexterity. These hands-on activities contribute to the development of motor control and spatial awareness.

Plant Valentine Directions
This Valentine’s Day Craft is lots of fun for kids. Follow the easy steps below to learn how to make it.
STEP 1: Download and print the Plant Valentine Template. After downloading the template, print it on white cardstock. Each child will need one copy.
STEP 2: Paint the craft templates. Use markers, crayons, paint, or even dot markers to color the patterns! We used our favorite Crayola Washable Paint. Use whatever colors inspire you! We used two shades of green, pink, turquoise, and brown.
STEP 3: Cut the templates. When the paint is dry, use scissors to cut apart the pieces. Be sure to help or give young kids a little more time for this step. Older children will want to cut their own template out all by themselves.
STEP 4: Put together the craft. We began by gluing down the dirt. Next, kids can glue on the plant and eyes. Glue the piece with the words to the back of the painted pot.
STEP 5: Your craft is finished! Kids will enjoy showing off their cute plants to friends and family. What a great way to spend quality time with kids!
