10 Ways to Spend Quality Time with Your Child
Not right now, I have to feed the baby…
As soon as I finish the dishes…
In a little while, honey…
Sometimes it seems like these are my most common responses when my son wants my attention.
The other day as I sat writing at my laptop in our backyard he asked, “Can you stop working and play in the sand with me?” Such a simple request and such an important one. Working from home, trying to get into a routine with a new baby, taking care of the house—whatever the case may be—finding ways to spend quality one on one time with your child can be a challenge.
But it’s so important. And that day, with that request, I set aside the to-do list and played in the sand. And I came up with a list of ways anyone can devote much-needed quality one-on-one attention to their children.
