Twig Reindeer Ornaments
This ornament requires very few materials, one of which can be found for free on the ground. This craft would be perfect for a group of children as it’s self-explanatory, promotes fine-motor skills, and is simple.
We used twigs from a maple tree in our backyard. Isn’t it cool how the leaf nodes create natural antlers for the reindeer?
Materials and Directions:
- Twigs
- Googly eyes
- Red button
- Tacky craft glue
- Scissors
- Twine or Ribbon
Get outside and into nature! Invite children to collect 3 twigs. Next, glue the 3 twigs into the shape of a triangle. Allow the glue to dry completely.
Secure the googly eyes and red button nose to the twigs with glue. Allow the glue to dry completely.
Last, glue a twine or ribbon loop onto the top twig. Hang and enjoy!
Pair these ornaments with a box of homemade Christmas cookies to brighten up a neighbor’s day!
